Charitable Beneficiaries

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides a variety of programs and a
home away from home, which directly helps seriously ill children to live happier, healthier lives. One hundred cents in every dollar donated goes directly to programs which includes Ronald McDonald Houses; Ronald McDonald Learning Program, RMHC Cord Blood Banks; Ronald McDonald Beach Houses; Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and other grants benefiting seriously ill children. For full details about these programs and more, visit www.rmhc.com.au

‘Give Me 5 For Kids’ was designed as a community based fundraising initiative highlighting the fact that every little bit helps, even 5c! Imagine if everyone on the Gold Coast donated 5c each! The great thing about this promotion is that all monies raised are distributed back into the community to the Children’s Wards of the Gold Coast Hospital and the Tweed HeadsHospital.

Over the years, Gold FM has led the community in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars that has contributed to purchasing much needed vital equipment for the betterment in care of our Gold Coast kid’s.

Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC)

ROMAC is a project of the Rotary Clubs of Australia and New Zealand, whose Mission Statement is “To provide medical treatment for children from developing countries in the form of life saving and dignity restoring surgery.”
More than 350 children from overseas countries have benefited from ROMAC since its beginning in 1988. ROMAC assists young people, 15 years and younger, described as ‘forgotten children’, from under developed countries.

Children accepted for treatment come from very humble backgrounds.  Their families have minimal income and often  survive on subsistence living Without ROMAC’s help these children might be left to die, hidden away or, in some instances, sent on to the streets to beg.

The treatment these children require is not accessible in their home country.  Some children have been afflicted since infancy and their lives are changed by ROMAC.  They can feel good about themselves once unsightly growths, clefts or tumours are removed and severe burns contractures are treated.  Their dignity is restored and they are given a future.  For more information contact Margaret Hayes on (02) 6674 1941 Mobile 0428 114 909 Email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or click on www.romac.org.au
